Since 1987, Tybee Island has hosted an annual Beach Bum Parade, where locals and visitors alike line the streets for a massive parade and island-wide water gun fight! Occurring in May of each year, kids and adults are encouraged to bring water balloons, super soakers, and buckets to Butler Avenue to take place in this legendary event. When the weather cools down, get ready to enjoy the Tybee Pirate Fest! Beginning in 2005, the city of Tybee decided to host a fun event for all ages that would attract visitors in the off months.
