Beach Bum Parade
Since 1987, Tybee Island has hosted an annual Beach Bum Parade, where locals and visitors alike line the streets for a massive parade and island-wide water gun fight! Occurring in May of each year, kids and adults are encouraged to bring water balloons, super soakers, and buckets to Butler Avenue to take place in this legendary event. Make sure to pack towels as you’re guaranteed to get soaked!
Tybee Pirate Festival
When the weather cools down, get ready to enjoy the Tybee Pirate Fest! Beginning in 2005, the city of Tybee decided to host a fun event for all ages that would attract visitors in the off months. Occurring each year on the weekend prior to Columbus Day, families can enjoy live music, a pirate parade, and a ton of vendors selling pirate themed souvenirs. Enjoy a fun night out at the event’s Buccaneer Ball where you’ll find live entertainment, costume contests, and some delicious grub from the Crab Shack.
Tybee Wine Festival
Presented by the Tybee Post Theatre, the Tybee Wine Festival is an annual 3 day event celebrating international wines, and features delicious food and live entertainment. Celebrate this event in April across multiple venues on Tybee Island.
